It was discovered in 1965 by the German professor Friedrich Korte, thus laying the foundation for our understanding of cannabis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <strong>Without THCa, THC would be nothing more than an abstract concept.<\/strong>  <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbd.fr\/198thc-cbd\">In fact, up to<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/%5Beyc_ps_products%20ids=%221098,1099,1100,1097%22%5D\">90%<\/a><\/strong> of the<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>total <strong>THC content<\/strong> in the plant comes from THCa. However, unlike THC, THCa is non-psychoactive in its raw state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-comment-le-thca-se-transforme-en-thc-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp-nbsp\">                                    <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It has an extra carboxylic acid chain <strong>that prevents it from producing the psychotropic effects we generally associate with cannabis. <\/strong> <strong>How does THCa become THC?<\/strong>THCa exists in two main forms: <strong>THCA-A<\/strong>and<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>THCA-B<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-quel-est-le-role-du-cbga-nbsp\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"_While_the_precise_differences_between_these_isomers_remain_unclear_they_both_transform_into_THC_during\"><\/span>. While the precise differences between these isomers remain unclear, they both transform into THC during<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>decarboxylation <strong>, a key process during the heating of cannabis.<\/strong>This chemical change transforms the inactive THCa into the iconic element of cannabis: THC, responsible for our euphoric experiences. <strong><\/strong>What is the role of CBGa? <strong>To fully understand THCa, we must go back to its origins. CBGa, or cannabigerolic acid, is considered the &#8220;mother cannabinoid,&#8221; the cornerstone of various compounds, including CBDa, CBGa, and, of course, THCa.<\/strong>CBGa is the precursor to THCa and, consequently, to THC. This complex process is what gives rise to our high, as CBGa gives way to THC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>THCa: The cannabinoid that influences without intoxicating<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-le-thca-nbsp-le-cannabinoide-qui-influence-sans-enivrer\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"THCa_or_tetrahydrocannabinolic_acid_is_often_overlooked_compared_to_its_more_famous_offspring_THC_Unlike_THC_THCa_does_not_produce_a_high_when_consumed_in_its_raw_form\"><\/span>THCa, or tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, is often overlooked compared to its more famous offspring, THC. In fact, THCa&#8217;s binding affinity to CB1 receptors is approximately 60 times weaker than that of THC, explaining why it does not produce psychoactive effects. <strong><\/strong>However, it is not entirely inactive. THCa interacts with several anti-inflammatory receptors, such as PPAR\u03b3, GPR55, and COX-1 and COX-2, suggesting positive effects on inflammation and mood. <strong>While it does not produce a high, THCa has beneficial properties that can positively influence brain chemistry and reduce inflammation. THCa and THC: What are the differences?<\/strong> THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the main intoxicating cannabinoid in cannabis. Unlike THCa, THC has a strong affinity for CB1 receptors in the brain, thus producing the euphoric effects we associate with cannabis use. <strong>It&#8217;s THC that makes us feel high. The main difference lies in their molecular structure.<\/strong> THCa has an additional carboxyl group, keeping it in an acidic state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This extra group makes all the difference in terms of its influence on our feelings.
