The samples used in this study were purchased online in the UK to represent products available to consumers.<\/a><\/strong>Analyses were performed using advanced techniques such as high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> <strong>The results were alarming: the actual CBD concentration was, on average, significantly lower than that stated on the labels.<\/strong> Only five out of 63 products had CBD concentrations less than 10% of the advertised concentration, raising serious questions about product compliance in the UK. <strong>More specifically, many products in the UK have actual concentrations lower than those advertised.<\/strong> These findings have important implications for consumers who rely on labels to make informed choices when purchasing CBD products. <strong><\/strong>It is essential that consumers receive accurate and reliable information about the products they consume, and the results of this study suggest that this is not always the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furthermore, the authors of these analyses emphasize the need to improve CBD product standards to ensure the quality and accuracy of the stated concentrations. <strong>Clearer legislative guidelines on acceptable tolerance limits for CBD concentrations on labels could be a crucial first step towards a more transparent and responsible industry. <\/strong> <strong>In conclusion, this study has finally revealed concerning discrepancies between the stated and actual CBD concentrations in products sold or marketed in the UK. Further efforts are required to improve the quality of CBD products and ensure that consumers receive accurate information to make informed decisions.
