Import data is a relevant metric for companies involved in the German medical marijuana market, as the flower category is entirely dependent on imports, and\u2014as Marijuana Business Daily first reported\u2014this trend will continue at least until the end of the first quarter of 2021. Flower sales account for more than half of the German medical marijuana market. Imported quantities fluctuate considerably throughout the year, making them difficult to predict and not necessarily representative of domestic sales trends\u2014meaning that conclusions should not be drawn from import data alone. Not all imported flower is intended for German consumers.
