- According to the association, cannabis could be useful for pain relief. Two health problems are primarily targeted in this regard: unstable angina and coronary artery disease. To support this claim, the organization highlights the case of a patient in his sixties. Researchers from the

- A report from Lawrenceville, USA, describes the case of this man. He reportedly consulted a doctor about medical cannabis. Why? Because of unstable angina (UA) that was not relieved by morphine or heart medication. The report further specifies that the patient consulted the doctor after various conventional treatments had not had the desired effect. Following this, the man reportedly experienced a gradual decrease in pain, particularly improvements in its frequency and nature. Moreover, the report concludes, he discontinued long-term morphine treatment and described the pain as no longer debilitating.
Could cannabis be helpful for nausea and vomiting during pregnancy?
Indeed, after the previous point, the IACM report focuses on cannabis and its potential benefits for nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. Indeed, to illustrate this point, the association cites cases of women suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum (nausea and vomiting during pregnancy). Researchers from the Adelson School of Medicine at Ariel University in Israel reportedly presented four related reports. These reports indicated that these women had received treatment with cannabis. The bulletin further specifies that, according to these researchers, “hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) only partially responds to standard antiemetic medications.” With this treatment, these women reportedly experienced improvements. This is why the researchers believe that: “these results suggest that cannabis may be effective for HG, and that it should be studied in controlled and well-designed studies, taking full account of the potential risks to the fetus.” Is cannabis effective in treating Hodgkin lymphoma?
The IACM bulletin highlights another case of medical cannabis use. The story recounted here is quite sensitive and atypical! It concerns a patient who refused chemotherapy due to her pregnancy. Instead, she opted for self-treatment with cannabis. This solution reportedly reduced the tumor mass of her Hodgkin lymphoma, according to the bulletin. Her case was also reported by researchers from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy at the University of Oradea (Romania). The authors of the review concluded that: “Cannabis could be part of cancer treatment. To our knowledge, no other case of this kind has been reported before.”
It should be noted that the young woman gave birth to a boy via cesarean section. Statistics and News on Medical Cannabis Worldwide
